Why a rage room beats another away-day
Most team building is something people endure, not enjoy. A rage room is the opposite. There's no scoring, no winners, no cringe — just a controlled room full of things to break and a team that gets to break them together.
It's a genuine leveller. The quietest person in the office and the loudest exec both end up in overalls swinging a bat at an old printer. Ten minutes in, everyone's laughing, and the usual hierarchy is on the floor with the broken crockery.
And it actually does what team building is supposed to: people relax, they talk, and they walk out with a shared story that isn't 'remember that spreadsheet'.
How team building at Smash Palace works
You book online, pick a session and turn up ten minutes early. We kit everyone out with overalls, gloves and a helmet with a visor, run a quick and genuinely useful safety briefing, and then the room is yours.
Inside you'll find glasses, plates, mugs, electronics, monitors, furniture and — on the bigger packages — proper appliances to demolish. You bring the energy; we've already sourced the wreckage.
Weekday slots built for work teams
Our quietest, most flexible availability is on weekday evenings — Wednesday to Friday from 4pm. That makes an after-work team session easy to arrange without fighting for a weekend slot.
Because we're a few minutes from Lincoln city centre with free parking, teams can head straight on to food or drinks in town afterwards and make a proper evening of it.
Big team? No problem
Each session takes up to four people in the room at a time. For larger teams we run consecutive slots so everyone gets their turn while the rest cheer (and film) from the side.

How many people can take part?
Each session is for 1–4 people in the room at once. For bigger teams we run back-to-back slots so everyone gets their turn — get in touch and we'll build a schedule around your group size and timings.
How long does a session last?
Sessions run 15–30 minutes in the room depending on the package, plus time either side for kitting up, the safety briefing and a breather afterwards. Allow around 45 minutes to an hour on site per group.
Is it good for work teams specifically?
It's one of the few away-days people don't groan about. There's no forced role-play or trust falls — just a shared, slightly ridiculous, genuinely cathartic experience that gets everyone laughing and levels the room regardless of job title.
When can we come?
We're open Wednesday to Friday 16:00–21:00 and Saturday to Sunday 12:00–21:00. Weekday evening slots are the quietest and easiest to book a block of — ideal for an after-work team session.
What do we need to wear?
Closed-toe shoes are essential. We provide overalls, gloves and helmets with visors, so come as you are — just avoid your best clothes.
